Chevrolet Silverado Power-Fold Mirror Repair
2007-2014 Silverado power-fold mirror not folding, or making noise without moving?
The Silverado uses the same power-fold mirror design as GM's SUVs from this era (Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade). The failure is the same too: a small plastic spur gear inside the motor housing cracks or strips its teeth over time.
Note: GM's light-duty trucks changed platforms partway through this window, so exact year/trim mirror hardware can vary more on trucks than on the SUVs above. If you're not sure whether your Silverado has this mirror design, text us at 469-766-2667 and we can confirm before you ship anything.
What we fix on the Silverado
- Mirror won't fold in or out (broken spur gear — most common cause)
- Mirror makes a clicking or grinding sound (see clicking noise and motor grinding)
Full process: remove the mirror using our removal instructions, ship it to us, and we repair and return it — pricing starts at $279 for our gear + motor repair service, 3-day turnaround, 1-year warranty.
